Wine tourism in Bulgaria

|
The wine tourism is one of the most rapidly developed forms of the incentive tourism that indicates significant growth in the national tourist product during the last years. Not by chance the Bulgarian wine producers are more and more successful in establishment and distribution of their production at the international market. Many of them have opened wine tasting halls and offer to their guests the opportunity to take pleasure of the superior qualities, taste and flavor of the Bulgarian red and white wines. All these things, combined with the rich Bulgarian culture and splendid nature, bring on unforgettable experience for the tourists, who have chosen one or other wine route. Bulgaria, as a country of ancient cultures and civilizations has inherited long traditions in production of wines. The archeological finds during the last years are an eloquent proof that the divine drink was known ever since the time of the ancient Thracians. The recently discovered temple of the God of wine Dionysus in the ancient town of Perperikon - capital of the Rhodopean ruler, gives a reason for the scholars to conclude that our country is the land of origin of wine. We can not omit the facts connected with the reputation of our Melnishko wine, bags of which were sold in Europe by Greek tradesmen and the memory for the annual supply of 500 liters of the same wine ordered personally by sir Winston Churchil is still living. All that was mentioned above is a good premise for us to invite you to participate in the newly prepared by our company first in its kind specialized edition of WINE TOURISM IN BULGARIA. It will comprise a rich photographic material, information about the wine regions and sorts of grapes, offers from Bulgarian tour operators and tour agencies of wine tours, data about the branch organizations and associations in the sphere of wine production, abundant information about wine cellars and wine producers from all over the country etc. The edition will be rendered in English and German language.
