Burgas International Airport opens its Terminal № 3

On the 29th of June on an official ceremony was opened the third terminal of Burgas International Airport.The Transport Minister Petar Mutafchiev took part in the opening ceremony of the facility, which is to increase the airport's capacity by over 40%. In Burgas the Minister took part in the events, marking the 60th anniversary of Bulgarian civil aviation as well.  The first regular air line in Bulgaria - Sofia–Burgas was opened on the 29th of June, 1947. The construction of Тerminal 3 is part of the investment program of the concessioner “Fraport Twin Star Airport Management” aiming at immediate improvements of the airport service even during this summer season. The total investment in Terminal 3 is about 7 million leva.The new terminal has been fully equipped with modern facilities including such for disabled people. A new passenger terminal was opened in Varna, earlier this month. The new facility doubles the capacity of Varna International Airport.
