A 168 million euro mall to be constructed in the Bulgaria’s Sofia capital city

Forum Sofia AD, a subsidiary of the Austrian Meinl European Land Ltd (MEL), recently announced its intentions to build a 168 million Euro mall in Sofia’s district Malinova Dolina, in front of the Sofia Business Park.The shopping centre Forum Sofia will cover a total area of 170 000 square meters, of which 88 000 square meters will be rented out.The complex will include a furniture store, a DIY (Do it yourself) store, a hypermarket, a cinema, some 200 shops and lots of entertainment areas. According to the concept, the new mall will consist of several separate buildings, intermediated by green areas, gathered in a closed park area.The construction works, which should be accomplished within a two-year period, will create some 350 new jobs. Once operational, the complex will create over 700 new jobs, including service and maintenance staff.Along with the project, Forum Sofia AD will invest in the renewal and the improvement of the local road infrastructure, as well as in the achievement of two bridges in the area. „All the improvements are dedicated to the citizens of Sofia. After their achievement, they will be donated to Sofia Municipality“, the company said. The Press center of the Bulgarian Investment Agency recently announced that Forum Sofia will be granted a Class A Investor certificate.Source: Investor.bg |
