Bulgaria and the progress of the malls

While the level of the income increases and the consumers become more sophisticated, the retail trade sector in Bulgaria continues to grow together with the building of malls. By the end of June 2007 the gross size of the malls for rent has increased with 138500 sq. m. up to 201000 sq. m. which made the retail trade the most attractive sector among the real estate with trade purposes. The speed of growth of the Bulgarian GDP which reached 6% during the last three years and it is expected to reach at least the same in 2007, as well as the open market formed a new consumer’s class.The development of the malls is accompanies and goes hand in hand with the entering of hypermarkets and chain stores for retail trade and food offering discounts in Bulgaria. |
