Bulgaria’s Varna and Burgas Airports with a strong growth of the passengers’ traffic

About 920 000 passengers were attended by the Bulgarian Airports of the Black Sea cities of Varna and Burgas only in July. That was announced by the German Fraport company, which owns a 35-year concession for the two airports and operates them both.The total number of the passenger, who the Burgas Airport processed in July is 564 746, which is about 11.2% more than the last year’s period. With a total number of 355 014 attended passengers, Varna Airport has recorded a drop of 0.3% over the same period of last year. The Bulgarian BM Star Company and Fraport won the 35-year concession in 2006 when they set their intention to invest about 403 million euro in new terminals, equipments and new facilities during that period. |
