New ski lifts and ski runs will be constructed for the tourists in the winter resort Borovets

New ski lifts and ski runs will be made in the world-famous resort Borovets. The concessioner company received class A certificate because of its intentions to invest 70 millions levs in the infrastructure of Borovets.The gondola lift will be replaced with a new modern one – 8 seats. The open four-seat lift located in front of Rila Hotel will be renovated, too. Two new lifts will be installed on Markudjik 1 and Markudjik 2 ski runs. The total length of the ski runs will be doubled – from 60 to 120 km. New ski runs will be constructed, too. They will be named “Haramiya”, “Suhar”, “Sitnyakovo-Gvardeyska polyana”, “Sitnyakovo-Martinovi baraki”, “Markudjik 1A” and “Markudjik 1B”.The company intends to invest in artificial snow equipment. The reconstruction of the biathlon stadium is planned – 3 million levs are foreseen and the end of the project is scheduled for the end of 2010. Till the present moment the company has invested about 60 million levs to develop the infrastructure of Borovets.
