Golden Sands Resort’s 50th anniversary

The famous Bulgarian Golden Sands Black Sea resort celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. The event was marked with a great number of folklore, Latino and rock concerts. Many Bulgarian celebrities took part in the gala days which were held from June 30 until July 7 at the Black Sea resort near Varna.In 1957 Golden Sands had only 8 hotels. Now, 50 years later, their number is more than 90. About 250 million euro had been invested in the resort for the past 6 year. A lot of new luxurious developments, nice restaurants and clubs have appeared and contributed to the popularity of the Sea Resort. Nearly 15 million tourists had visited Golden Sands resort for its half a century existence. Some of the stateliest developments in Golden Sands Resorts are the 4 star Astera Hotel and Casino, and the 5 star Admiral Hotel and Kempinski Hotel Grand Hermitage, which is the biggest worldwide one from the Kempinski chain. |
