The project for a marina at the central beach of Burgas is approved

The Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works and the Transport Ministry have approved the project for developing a marina, which will be located at the central beach of the sea city of Burgas. The total investment in the yacht port is estimated at about 100 mln euro. The facility should be constructed for about 5 years and is planned to fit 1700 vessels. That kind of facility as the planned yacht port is much needed in the area of Burgas, as the interest in the destination has grown a lot in the last few years and it is a booming tourist area at present. The development will include several hotels, an office building, where the marina administration, police and medical staff will be housed and some other harbour facilities as well. The plots where the marina will be situated are a property of the government so they will be given on a 35 - year concession. The only 2 marinas which are operating at present along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast are the one in Golden Sands and the newly opened one in St. Vlas resort.Source: Dnevnik.bg |
