19 000 tourists to arrive in Bulgaria on cruise liners

The forthcoming summer season will be a rush time for the Varna port because of the cruise liners which are expected to visit the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. 26 is the total number of the vessels which will drop anchors in Varna port during this season. 6 of them have already passed through the sea capital of Bulgaria. On 26th of April the first liner “Victoria” arrived. Then the Holland “Rotterdam”, “Spirit of Adventure” and the Israel “Iris” followed. The sailing exhibits of the Turkish ferry “Samsun” took place in Varna the last weekend. At the same time the 204–meter–long “Princeandam” Cruise Liner arrived as well. On 13th of July the British “Royal Princess” with more than 1000 tourists on board will haul down sails. Varna sea port also expects the “See cloud” sailing boat, which comes to Varna each year.Two cruise liners will arrive monthly in Varna port during the summer season, while the intensive sails season will start in September. The end of the season will be marked by the visits of three liners – “Europe”, “Vista mar” and “Iris”.The “Krimskaya Strela”Catamaran will start again its cruises on the regular line Odessa-Varna this season. About 10 000 tourists are expected to take this cruise during its three-month-period of launching. The catamaran will berth in Varna every Monday and Friday.
