The contract related to the realization of the Sport and Tourist Center Perelik is already signed

The regional administration of Smolyan town signed the contract for a joint project with an investor, related to the construction of STC”Perelik”. This dynamic project foresees an investment for more than 200 million Euros. The project will be realized through the medium of five companies. The first company’s function is to construct and operate the STC “Perelik” infrastructure. Property management of properties included in the project’s territory is the function of the second company. The purpose of the third company is the construction and operation of a golf course on the project’s territory and the nearby regions. The fourth company will be responsible for the whole development of the project and the fifth one – for the municipal property acquisition and management. The project envisages engagements in the social sphere. In this mega project the municipality takes part with up to 8 250 000 sq. m., but the investors’ share is 7 332 000 sq. m. Detailed researches related to the snow cover and snow conditions in the area all around the project were made, as well as geodetic surveys and other subjects of know-how. The project dimension, including the building works related to it is conformable to the ecological legislation. STC”Perelik” will entirely change the economical appearance of the Smolyan Municipality. The project foresees construction of an all year round resort, which will rival with success to attract tourists from the whole region – the Balkans, Europe and Russia. The high snowfall and the unique natural forms give the chance for out of the ski season entertainment, as there are tourist bike paths, golf courses, zones for rural tourism, excellent conditions for hunting and fishing and exhibition of local crafts. The project will be realized on the territory, which includes the high zones around the peaks Perelik and Kozuiatak, their adjoining villages, newly detached resort centers in Smolyan. The building works in these resort kernels will be strictly regulated in order to be preserved their style. The new communications, which will be constructed, will bind STC “Perelik” with Pamporovo, Chepelare and Smolyan. The total length of the equipment that should be realized up to the end of the final stage is 52 950 meters. |
