A new highway from the Baltic to the Bulgarian Black Sea coast is under construction

According to Budapest Business Journal, the contract for construction of the new high-speed motorway has been undersigned on March 29th. The new highway will connect the Baltic and the Black sea coast, Ruseinfo announced.The highway will start from the Polish Baltic harbour Gdansk, will pass throw East Slovakia and Hungary, through Clug Napoka(Romania), reaching Bucharest. The motorway will have branches to Varna (via Ruse), Konstansa (the largest Romanian seaport) and Odessa.The M 3 motorway in Hungary will be extended with M 49, through North Transylvania to Romania and on the north to Slovakia and Poland.The terms and the resources are not specified yet, but definitely the funds will be provided by European Union.  Source: money.bg
