8 Banks Showed Intentions to Enter Bulgarian Market

Eight foreign banks, all licensed in European Union countries, have showed their intentions to begin operating in Bulgaria, Bulgaria's Central Bank BNB reported.The list of these 8 banks includes Germany's DEPFA AG, French Euler Hermes SFAC and Compagnie Generale D'Affacturage, UK-based Credit Suisse International, Austria's Hypo Alpe-Adria Bank AG and Raiffeisen Zentralbank Osterreich AG, Hungary's MKB Bank and Cyprus-registered Kommunalkredit International Bank Ltd.One of the banks is already operating in Bulgaria - MKB Bank, owned by Germany's Bayerische Landesbank (BayernLB), through the MKB Unionbank it owns, which occupies the 18th position when assets are concerned.The Bulgarian subsidiary of Raiffeisen International, owned by Raiffeisen Zentralbank Osterreich AG, is the Bulgarian fourth-largest bank when assets are concerned. Source: novinite.com
