Bulgaria’s Plovdiv welcomes the first congress of investors in the tourism

The first congress of the investors in the tourism is being held in the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv.The congress was open by the Bulgarian President Georgi Purvanov on May 8. The participants will discuss three main topics. The first one is the strategic priorities for tourism development in Bulgaria and foreign Minister Ivailo Kalfin, Labour and Social Policy Minister Emilia Maslarova and Regional and Public Works Minister Assen Gagauzov will take part in the debate. The second topic for discussion is for international branding in Bulgaria, when National Tourism board chairperson Georgi Gergov will be presented.Investment opportunities and tourism development through public – private partnership will be discussed during the last part of the congress.  Before the official start of the event, the Greek region Evros and representatives of Plovdiv municipality signed an agreement for tourism co-operation.Source: BTA
