An Ultra – Modern Laboratory is fitted in the Archeological Museum in the Bulgarian Capital city of Sofia

The Japanese government is the investor of the most modern laboratory for conservation and restoration, which was opened in Sofia on May 8, 2007. The unique equipped laboratory is located in the Sofia’s Archaeological Museum’s building. The new facility will help the researches and the examinations of the archaeological findings and especially the processes of conservation and restoration. These procedures are very difficult and different technological treatments and analyses are required. The most impressive object in the laboratory is the digital microscope, which has magnifying ability of 3000 units.
