Long queues outside the Bulgarian Consulate in Moscow

Long queues have been formed outside the Bulgarian Consulate in Moscow.  That was caused by the new agreement for easier procedure of obtaining visas between Russia and the EU, which start operating from June 1, 2007.  The other reason for the strained atmosphere in front of the Bulgarian Consulate was the shortening of its staff.  There are some changes in the Russian legislation for the tourism as well. According to the amendments only the companies which pay 150 000 euro as a guarantee will be entered in the Russian tourist register. Only 1200 Russian tour operators from more than 10 000 fulfill the existing term so far. The paid amount is for a customers’ safeguard against law-quality tourist services. The companies which are not booked in the tourist register are announced as illegal ones.     The displeased clients have the possibility now to lay a claim for a financial compensation to the Russian tour operators which organized the tourist trips.  The other reason for the formed long queues in front of the Bulgarian Consul Services in Moscow is the the increased interest in individual journeys to Bulgaria. Many of the trips are connected with acquired properties in our country.  The Bulgarian tour operators expect 25 % increase of the Russia tourists who will visit Bulgaria this summer season.
